Peter Almberg
Working Chairman
Year of joining: 2015 (Founder)Peter is the founder and Chairman of Katalysen. He is a visionary with a leadership style often based on consensus. His favourite areas are innovation, team building, partnerships, deal making, and he thrives on making things happen in general.
Peter is a life-long entrepreneur, having founded, grown, and exited multiple companies within a wide range of sectors. Between 1983 and 1995 he was instrumental in creating the field that today is known as “fintech”, and he founded early trailblazers including Utvecklings AB Servisen (now a part of Fidelity IS), Servisen Optimating AB, and QT Optec AG. All focused on new concepts within automation, research, and algorithmic trading of financial instruments.
The years 1995 to 2002 were spent bringing music businesses into the digital era, and between 2003 to 2015 Peter's interest was again turned towards fintech, helping SMEs and a small cap stock exchange build corporate finance and financial infrastructure.
Taken together, these experiences have shaped Peter into a great venture builder. Katalysen was born out of this experience and expertise, and an urge to continue to create meaningful value for partners.
Peter believes that people with courage and a strong driving force can work wonders. Especially if they do so as a team, and do it together to win.
